This year I have noticed that animation involves a lot of time. I have several tales and stories in mind to make animated shorts, but I also know that it will take me months, at least. So I have decided to create a category of works in progress in which I will post sketches of characters, which I hope will be alive someday.

These are new characters which still need to be polished (and finished!)

As a final project for my master degree I must make a stop motion short film within the end of June. I decided to add a new category in which I’m going to post the process of the making. As starters, I’m sharing some character sketches.
The title of the project is Gratis et amore and I’m waiting for my professors to approve the script.

Recently, I’ve found a very interesting facebook group about character design, Character Design Challenge!. Last month’s theme was Indian dancers and I wanted to participate but i couldn’t finish my character before the deadline. Anyway, here it is!
Is at a self portrait?
I’m a woman and a little bit younger 🙂
The old man, though, is a plasticine character inspired in my grandfather.
Thanks for liking it!
